My favorite version is the Gen 4 Front Serrations model. I prefer the 4 to the Gen 2 & 3 because of the smaller grip option.

My first shots with a brand new Glock 19 Gen 4. No break-in at all; this gun begins it's shooting days on camera! ----- -----
The Glock 19 Gen 4 is a famous gun in the Glock family. It has a special grip that has changed a lot over time. The first version had a smooth grip. The second version had a patterned grip. The third version added a rail and special places for fingers. But the Gen 4 is the best. I went with the Gen 3 17 as my first Glock because the Gen 3 19 just didn’t feel good at all. The trigger guard was much sharper and didn’t have us much room vs the Gen 5 undercut and the Gen 3 finger grooves on the 19 were too small vs the lack of groves on the Gen 5. It just felt completely different in a bad way.

Glock is Glock, and what they did was in their minds improve on their design. Time will tell, meanwhile people will cry and whine about nonsense. I have a beat up Gen 4 19 that I carry all the time, I'm in no hurry to get anything else and if I did I would buy another gen 4 just for parts commonality. Not because the gen 5 is bad.
The Glock 19 is 7.36 inches long, with a 4.01 inch barrel. It measures 4.99 inches tall and 1.18 inches wide. It weighs in at 23.65 ounces, and has a magazine capacity of 15+1. In terms of size, the Glock 19 is most similar to the P320 Compact frame. The Glock is slightly longer, but isn’t quite as wide or as tall. Whereas the G17’s of old used a different barrel lug design, the new G17 is really just a G19L (long). That means a Gen5 G17 barrel drops right into a Gen5 G19 slide. In fact, the entire 17 slide can be installed on the 19 frame. Heck, the Gen5 G17 slide can even be installed on a Gen4 G19 frame, too. Is an aftermarket Glock 19 barrel compatible with a 5th Gen Glock 19? Learn all about replacement barrels for Glock pistols and how they work with the differ

The sizing. We’ve mentioned that the Glock 19 is similar in size to the compact frame of the P320. It has a 4.01” barrel, it’s 4.99” tall, 1.8” wide and is slightly longer than the P320 compact. Weighing in at 23.65 oz, the Glock 19 has a magazine capacity of 15+1. Overall, the Glock is a bit lighter than the P320, mostly because of
