In those 10 months/21k miles, the car has been very reliable. I did the initial oil change at 1,500 miles and I have done it every 5,000 miles after that. Keep up on your normal maintenance (fluids, tire rotations, etc.) and she should treat you right.

I have had fitted genuine ford reconditioned driveshafts and this has resolved the issue. Many thanks to you all.
The rear passenger side footwell is somewhat wet and now smelly. I can't identify where its coming from though, it seems to be predominant after driving in the wet (not consciously noticed it when its rained hard and the car has been idle) as the carpet looks like its been rained on. Its not at the sides but more in the centre of the carpet too.
Focus 2 weaknesses - here we go. Rear numberplate light units rust easily or Mk2 Focus. My non DPF 1.6TDCI 90ps Focus 2 has been brilliant until one of the injector seals (leftmost one when looking under the bonnet) started leaking into the engine thinning the oil to the point after 5 - 10 mins of running that there is low oil pressure indicated by the oil warning light on the dash.
Struggle to select 5th/6th while driving! Shaking/vibration when accelerating. For a while now my ST shakes/vibrates when the turbo kicks in. I haven't noticed any loss of power just the shaking. The garage reckon the turbo needs replacing, quoted £1100! I find it hard to believe that a fault with the turbo would cause the car to shake without losing power.
